my first (much needed) detox (june 9)

I'm going to be straight up about this: My vagina smelled really bad for a few days and I had been eating horribly. After much research, I learned that what you eat can really impact your vagina's smell. I knew it could somewhat, but not as much as it really does.
I had been eating a lot of steak from Chipotle (my sister had Chipotle cater for her party and we had A LOT left over) and drinking too much coffee.
So I'm trying to do a sort of detox. I'm drinking a ton of water & smoothies & eating a lot of fruit. It's just to try and flush everything out of my system. If this doesn't work after a few days, I'm going to see my gyn, but I don't want to deal with that quite yet.
Alright that's it bye.

health(!!)

I'm doing Cassey Ho's monthly calendar this month. I decided against following my own plan because I like hers. I'm doing her calendar a little differently though. I don't really like the workouts that she has on the weekends, so I'll be stretching on the weekends, and then on weekdays I'll follow the calendar.
I'm excited though because I got my friend to do it with me. We're going to be so healthy woop.

may workout plan attempt

cassey ho's april workout calendar
I have been watching and doing blogilates videos for a few years now, and I love them. I'd love to be able to follow Cassey's plan, but it's really hard for me to stay motivated and do all of those videos in one day. I really like them but her videos are HAARRD. I'm considering making my own calendar out of either her videos or out of my own exercises. sooo:
I'm brainstorming ideas for a may workout calendar for myself. It's coming along well; I decided I'd do a section of the body per day thing. For example, I might go on a rotation like legs, arms, butt, abs, cardio, then flexibility would be my break sort of day. I'm just testing things out because I eventually want to put one for free on this blog so I'm experimenting with what works.
I'm more concerned about building muscle and strength than losing weight. Because of that, I'm not sure how much other people will like this since many women are looking to lose weight and really shape up rather than keeping about the same weight and just gaining muscle. It'll be free anyways. It doesn't really need to be amazing because no ones paying. This is more for me, I guess. Maybe as time goes on and I become more serious about gaining muscle (and looking like it) the plan will be better. I'll blog about my day to day feelings on the plans I have for it and what I'm eating and everything. This will be fun, I hope.

healthy (and ALMOST vegan) peach, strawberry, and banana smoothie

It's hot as balls in California at the moment (89 degrees F!!) so I made a smoothie. It's also not actually vegan bc yogurt but YEAH HERE WE GO.
It actually turned out better than I thought it would. It's super sweet.
Ingredients:
1 peach
4-6 strawberries
1 banana
a bit of Silk Coconut Soy Milk
a few spoonfuls of vanilla yogurt
(ice if you want, I don't use it)

HOW TO: Cut all your fruits and put them in the blender. (Add ice if you want) Then add
some of the coconut soy milk and the yogurt. Blend it to your liking. Pour in a cute cup
and top with some whipped cream.

how I plan to get healthier (and blog about it)

Don't get me wrong, I'm a very confident girl. It took a lot to build up that confidence but I'm all good now. I love my body. I love my big thighs and my soft belly and my skinny arms and my fat ass. But I just feel like getting healthier out of boredom tbh. I just really want to be stronger and have more endurance.
So I'm trying to create my own workout plan. I'm avoiding dieting because I struggled with anorexia in the past and it started with dieting. So I don't plan to count calories or anything like that. I can just try to lay off the crap, but I'm gonna eat whatever I want when it comes down to it.
AREAS I WANT TO BUILD MUSCLE IN:
  • legs/booty
  • abs
  • arms
SEMI-RELATED FITNESS TYPE GOALS:
  • run an entire 5k (no walking!)
  • be able to do 30 proper pushups
  • eventually build the leg muscle up to be able to do Cassey Ho's 1,000 squats challenge
  • be able to do 5 pull-ups
  • build up flexibility to be able to do the splits(??? not sure)
HOW I MIGHT ACHIEVE THAT (in order) :
  • run more often! I don't think I'll be running much because of school. I have to keep my shoes at school for PE. But over the summer, I'll take my shoes home and start running in either the mornings or the evenings to build endurance.
  • simply do more push-ups. maybe do one of those month long push-up challenges
  • I'm thinking that I could just go over that video every couple of days and just take it for as long as I can go and try to gradually build up every time I do it.
  • try to build arm strength. I don't have a bar to use often but I can follow certain exercises and use the bar when I see one.
  • stretch daily
